Today I have an amazing person to introduce you to: Curly Martin.
Curly is an interntional coach to the coaches and has set up her own coaching institute called Achievement specialists. She is the author of 4 books:
The Life coaching handbook
The business coaching handbook
The personal success handbook
The Thity minute life coach
All of which are available at here Life Coaching site
She has been named by the observer magazine as one of the top 10 life coaches in the world.
I first heard of Curly when I was starting out on the path of life coaching years ago and came across Curly’s courses. I decided to buy her book instead. However that book has been a bible for me in my coaching practice and in my work place.
You’re going to love this short interview where Curly answers three questions which were sent in by readers.
A lot of you have asked when ‘Interviewing the Coaches’ will be released, which has all the full length interviews in the series. Honest answer, I don’t know as I am having a bit of trouble finding a suitable way to handle the delivery of the program.

Hi Steve/Curly,
I like the MP3 interview. Life coaching is very popular these days and a great way to keep us on track.
Just as professional athletes need coaches so do professionals, business owners, and everyday people.
The questioner who has limiting beliefs sounds like she over-values others opinions of her. It’s hard to move forward with limiting beliefs holding us back.

Right on Justin – but it’s very interesting what I see in my day to day business is people wanting to make a change but not actually even being aware that they have limiting beliefs with regards to the changes they need to make.
Whats the old saying “You can’t see it when your in it”. This is why it’s so critical for a good coach to be able to bring this out of their clients. Once you have identified the problem, its a lot easier to work on it.
Cheers
Paul Harrison
Lots of interesting points. I’m still digesting the thinking they want to change and not actually wanting to change. What a dilemma when you think you want something you don’t actually want. I recall an NLP principle which says you have everything that you want.
As for the not thinking question, I consider the ability to act in spite of negative thinking to be a tremendous benefit. There are many tools to adjust my thinking/beliefs/dispositions, but the ability to act in the face of thoughts that are telling me things that I know in my heart are not true, is a skill I seek to refine more and more. Belief change is absolutely a great addition, but on occasion I find myself in a conversation or faced with a decision or need to act that requires I put down my thinking for a moment to make the right choice.
My thinking is always quick to return, but it gets easier to not let it dissuade you as you move towards your goal.
Moving towards a goal in spite of thoughts and feelings that attempt to dissuade you will actually serve as a request to a deeper part of you to let you have it. Combine that with belief change and goal setting and you’ll be a power house!
Too many points to ponder in such a short interview. Two amazingly good and inspiring people in one set makes up a motivational post. Amazing how you organize and put this up. Kudos to you and to Curly Martin.
To me extra hour means more time tom enjoy life
