How To Know Your Are On The Right Path – Video

There comes a time in your life when you are beginning to change it and you are starting to see things changing.  Sometimes the changes are huge and sometimes they are small.  With the big changes, and the gradual changes, how do you know when you’re going in the right direction?

This is what I briefly discuss in the video, the feeling deep inside of you when you are meeting the right people, reading the right books, synchroncities start happening all the time, and the right things just comes to you at the right time.  Trust in the process of change, trust in yourself and believe that change can happen for you.

I’d like your thoughts on what I discuss in the video or if you think I am a little ‘out there’ let me know that as well.

    Hello Steve

Firstly – Your website popped up first in line on my Google search tonight and I am enjoying you thoughts very much. The video sparked off a response here – Yes, I get those feelings, those hard to describe feelings that tell me I’m on track. I tell my hubbie that I’ve got those lemonade feelings again, its how I feel, as if there is lemonade ( really fizzy too) in my tummy, shooting up into my chest and into my cells – like there’s a party going on in there. ALso I cannot ignore all the synchronicity that happens when I am in lemonade mode – I meet total strangers who impart knowledge or mind blowing thoughts , books jump off shelves in the shop or library, or opportunities suddenly come up – wierd but wonderful stuff. So I know what you are saying is what I am saying ;O)

    Steven,

Glad I found you! (through Chris Garret’s site). Love the site and the material.

I know exactly what you describe in this video. For the last couple of months I have been transforming my business and was feeling a bit lost in the process. All of a sudden, seemingly out of nowhere, the right people began crossing my path. Through them I have formulated a definite purpose, a set of goals and action plans.

I too experience that “bubbling up” feeling as i began to talk and collaborate with these new people and circumstances. The energy felt became the driving force behind the sensation that I was FINALLY on the right path.

    Thanks for describing my circumstance.

    You are appreciated!

  6. The right people get in front of you…
This has happened all my life. When I was raising my daughters, when I went back to get me degree, when I got my masters degree…all of it and more the right people. On my blog it amazes me how wonderful my readers are and how we found each other out of all the million of blogs out there.

Continue to bubble up and share with us…You Are The One to Watch in 2010!

  9. Steve,

I know exactly what you are talking about, it’s that feeling inside that you are coming into your passion or either already living it and it’s getting better and better. It’s almost unexplainable, but it sure does feel good. Especially if your passion is serving others, as yours is. I am there right now, and these feelings that I have are unimaginable, and I feel like I just have to share them with others. Other people just have to know why I feel this way, and how they can spark their “bubbling up” feelings so they can get on with living out their purpose in life.

As always, your blog is amazing! Thanks for all the great information, the leads, the advice, and most of all, your passion!

    Respectfully,

    Lydia

  10. Oh my friend, this is just BEAUTIFUL. You are soooooooo passionate! I have goose bumps on my arms from the intensity of who you are and what you are sharing. You are not just “talking about” the bubbling up, the connection to your passion, connection to that sense of “rightness of path”, you are are full on “BEING it” in this video. Oh maaaaan, you are REALLY REALLY letting lose.

This video just jumps off the page. YOU jump off the page. The force of what you are feeling and experiencing in your life right now just came to LIFE here. WOW. You are being what you feel. And THAT is what is going to make you FLY. Because we can speak a million words, a thousand insight and concepts, but if we can’t BE those things energetically, then that is all they are, is words, insights and concepts. The REAL shift happening in you is about energy and YOU becoming that vitality. This is absolutely brilliant. I am awe struck, stunned…. LOL!!

I’ll just say this, that when you go for it, you REALLY go for it. You wait, you have a million megatons of passionate inspiration trying to come out of you all at once and WHOA! to be on the receiving end of it is DYNAMIC!! You just keep going Steven, and I am cheering you on all the way. Aaaah, what a way to end my day. I am so so proud of you. I have tears in my eyes telling you that. Hugs to you and all those you love. Robin :)

PS I got so excited by this I forgot to tell you that I just lost it when you mentioned my name here. I am deeply moved by that. More thank you many think. Also, I loved watching your arms and hands move. YES!! :) They speak their own vibrant language that draws the listener in.

  11. Steven totally relate to what you’re saying. Interesting thing is I don’t feel like I’m on my path and I know it. Thing is I keep on it for fear I guess because all I have is inaction. I am aware though there is a bubbling inside me and I feel its in everyone like the hundredth monkey where we are tired of being slaves to the rhythm, someone’s slave for money, living in a grey box 5 days a week doing soul-less work. I feel like this. I know better, always have and yet stick to tried and true and boring, it frustrates the heck out of me because I know I have so much to offer.

I am excited for you with your growth and where its taking you. The video was great it really vibed with what I’m looking for. Surely we were not born to live such stunted lives?

I am open to the bubbling, the aliveness, the new fresh perspectives, the new people, feelings and will follow those like a bloodhound because I feel it is the way I need to travel to get myself out of this Rubik’s cube of a job I’ve stuck myself in!

    Cheers
    Lise :^)

    • Hi Lise, I totally hear what you are saying and you described it perfectly ‘Rubik’s cube of a job.’ As long as you know that your job is only a temporary and necessary measure to get what you really want as it gives you the means to sustain energy and a base from where you can find your ideal job.

  12. Hi Steven, thanks for sharing that. I thought it was a very candid and sincere video. You seem very passionate in your emotions from your body language. It must be a wonderful feeling. :) Congratulations on the success of your blog so far; it looks great!

  14. Hey Steven: Great video and very helpful insights. I definitely agree that you have to kind of monitor those signs and cues and allow them to motivate you to continue pushing. Often times they are subtle and if you aren’t looking for them, they are easily to miss. However, when you are tuned into what is going on around you and watching as things fall into place, it is motivating and reassuring to see things unfold. Thanks again for sharing your experience.

    • Hi Sibyl, thanks for your comments I really appreciate them. I think what you say is right, that you can miss the signs if you are not tuned in, as long as we keep trying to tune in we will eventually find the right wavelength :)

  15. It sounds as if you’ve got all the pieces lined up. You’ve been putting in the work for a while and now it’s time to reap the rewards of that. What you’re feeling is excitement! There may be more hurdles but if you can hang on to that feeling then you’ll keep the energy and motivation to keep going and get over them.

Speaking to energetic, passionate and enthusastic people like Robin is so important. Some people sap our energy and others fire us up. It’s great you’ve found a fun team to work with.

Just make sure you keep simmering away and don’t boil over:)

  16. Hi Steven,
I could feel your excitement too! All I would say is try and relax more, you looked nervous, but well done anyway for a great talk its a great tool.
It must be catching! Between you, Susan & Lana, I draw strength to keep moving forwards. It is hard to change tracks and move away up the ‘right road’ because invariably it means losing some things and people yet gain so very much more, but with this analogy I can recognise that I don’t need to pull off at the services, well not for very long anyway. The right road is the one where we just keep going forwards, and I just joined it. All the fear and anxiety is passing and I have 3 little passengers too, they’re coming with me!
As I was reading this blog Adagio in G Minor was on the radio, it just felt symbolic for a few moments that some things have finally come to a peaceful end. From nowhere, I feel the excitement you do too, things starting to fall into place, new faces appearing and more meaningful interactions coming my way. How encouraging it is to feel the vibe from you! Long may it last.
    Annette

    • Hi Annette, I love Adagio in G Minor, I bought a Baroque album years ago and this was one of the first pieces on it and it’s what got me hooked on Baroque music, it’s beautiful.

You are right about keeping on going, that’s where a lot of people make the mistakes they stop for too long thinking they are not getting anywhere, when in fact they were so close to their destination. I will keep trying to make it online until I make it, if it takes another 10 years I will still be there loving every minute of it. I am so glad other people like you are on the same journey but have different destinations, it’s exciting, it’s empowering and wonderful to know others are sharing the journey.

  17. Hi Steven – This is my first time commenting on one of your posts, and I absolutely know what you mean. It doesn’t sound woo-woo at all to me, but actually reminds me of Joseph Campbell’s quote:

“It is miraculous. I even have a superstition that has grown on me as a result of invisible hands coming all the time — namely, that if you do follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in your field of bliss, and they open doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be.”

Sounds like you are indeed following your bliss, Steven. I could feel the excitement of it in your video. It’s quite wonderful.

  21. Great post Steven, when I listening to the video I heard you say/ask over and over again “this bubbling feeling inside you” ..I was literally nodding my head whilst listening … and was able to resonate with what you were saying.. powerful yet great feelings which simply in my experience is waiting for the individual to take that leap of faith in that direction its pulling the person towards..
.-= Fatibony´s last blog ..How Do We Find Meaning in Life ? =-.

  22. Steven,

I completely know this feeling, I’m a former life coach (burned out on doing that) and currently the COO for a research firm, but my love when I was young and in school was writing fiction. I actually got my degree in that and then stopped writing. I haven’t written fiction for over 20 years, but just started a novel late last year, and when I’m writing I know this is what I was meant to do. There is a small bit of regret that I let “work” interfere for the last 20+ years, but I’m currently juggling my day job and my writing and I know it’s the right thing to do. And by using the law of attraction coupled with hard work, I hope that this time next year, writing novels will be my only day job. :-)

Keep up the good work and the videos. I know there are many people out there that might think this is too airy fairy, but the universe (god, whatever) does tell you when you’re on the right path if you can just take the time to listen.

    Cheers,
    Annaliese

    • Hi Annaliese thanks for your comments. I loved your story and would offer you some advice. If you are serious about writing the novel start a blog just now and document your writing journey, this way your name will be known before your novel is published. Unless you are just looking to write a novel and not sell it or market it. If you finish the novel and then try to market it, it will be a lot harder.

  23. Hi Steven,
What you are talking about for me is related to congruency and being in integrity. The soup with ingredients is a great metaphor, life needs input and the ingredients cannot be too wayward and you need to keep stirring and then all of a sudden you smell the aroma and you taste it and it is just right.
Yes, what you describe is a feeling and the mind is not able to access it.
Putting the appropriate ingredients in in the appropriate way is our part, the taste is the magic.
I am learning what ingredients are appropriate and what way is appropriate and it is a very exciting journey.
.-= Wilma Ham´s last blog ..When is ‘enough’ enough? =-.

  25. I’m with you on this one Steve, when you have the feeling you know you’re facing the right direction and change becomes so much easier. The videos are a great idea.

    How are you?
    This is inspiring.
Great video. I watched it twice with my wifey lol!!! and we can identify with the feeling.
It echoes, lingers, creates some positive forms of unrest in our hearts but each time we allow ourselves sink into the thoughts, there’s a burst of energy, ideas, plans and most of all peace that comes with it.
I would be sharing a few with you in the coming months.
    Take care

  27. hey steve,
Am a big fan and love the video,s although i enjoyed the last one better as it was longer i think a 10mins video is fine and standing defiantly sends out more energy to the viewer, you know i read through a lot of self help sites your one aswell and that but this is just my view.We are all made up from energy and so is everything that are minds sees to be real is also too,but we are all connected by this energy but what separates us from the energy is are self taught you know (I as I am) one which is what makes us individual from one another, but i truly believe that if we all could rely focus on that energy and send positive waves we can actually change the way others feel for the better the more people who send out positive energy the more the world becomes happier,we just need to connect to that flowing energy that is all around us.If every person on the planet just took 20mins to meditate and think positive i guarantee that peoples life’s will change for the better.
any way sorry for boring you and keep up the good work because even you with your books and blogs is sending out positive vibes and getting others to do so as well by training there way of thought.
thanks look forward to seeing you soon.
    joe

    • Hi Joe, I couldn’t agree more. I am with you on the energy vibration, however what you have to realise is that not everyone is as far along as the rest or have not come to the realisation about energy.

Some kids are worrying about how to keep their families safe at night in times of war, so they are not going to be thinking about sitting down to mediate at night (I don’t mean to sound facetious there, it’s just a fact), so although it’s a wonderful thought, it’s impractical for lot’s of people.

Having said that, we can get more people who are on the same wavelength as us and start a movement to help more people realise the power of energy and the power of thought for solving problems. Doing what we are doing is helping the cause.

Thanks for stopping by Joe, I appreciate it.

  28. Hi Steven,

    Great video!

In my experience, life has an interesting way of showing you where to go and what to do. The key is that we have to be ready for it. So much of life boils down to timing. Plus, I think it is really important when we are very clear as to what we want to experience.

For example, in the last few months due to being unemployed, I realized that I needed to have my career really reflect who I am. That one desire did wonders and brought so many wonderful resources (people and books and so on) to me which then helped me to see what I should do.

You get out of life as much as you put into it.

And you did not sound “out there” at all. You were talking my language! :)

One question: what is it you decided you should be doing? :) I am curious

I totally agree with you about putting into life and getting a lot out. I am glad we speak the same language :)

  29. Hi. this is an incredibly rich subject matter that when it happens to you is something you never forget…the moments of syncing with the universe, the inner guidance when you are ready to hear it..all of it.
Want some constructive criticism? Your writing is allot clearer and has allot more impact than your vids.

    • Hi Catt, I hear what you’re saying about the videos, but I will stick with it for now as I believe this is the way to go. Once I get better at the videos, hopefully they will be as clear as the writing.

  30. Steven,
Thanks for the video. I get exactly what you are driving at.

If there has been a time when i have felt on purpose, it is now. If what i am feeling is not the “right” direction, then i don’t know what right direction there can ever possibly be in my life RIGHT NOW.

Everything feels so good and i am excited. :-)

    Thanks.

  32. Hi Steve,

Very glad to see that you’re starting to do video. Seems to be the blogging future for many folks.

I’ve always held the concept that there’s a higher version of yourself, not necessarily steering the ship, but possibly acting as a beacon so that when you’re in alignment with your highest purpose, you can literally feel it.

I think an important book on my path was the Celestine Prophecy that I read nearly 20 years ago when I was coming out of high school. I couldn’t tell you the list of all the scrolls but I certainly remember the first one, “Pay attention to the coincidences in your life.” That’s guided me more effectively than any one principle that I can think of.

    - Charley
.-= Charley Forness´s last blog ..The Number One Argument for Not Simplifying =-.

    • Hi Charley, the Celestine Prophecy was a hugely influential book for me, although I recognised at the time it wasn’t a literary masterpiece, it just blew me away. And yes it was this book that has always made me look for the coincidences and the signposts in life.

It’s great to see you here Charley and thanks for commenting.

  33. nice video, thanks:)

  34. I can definitely agree and relate to “The Feeling” you speak of. But here is where we can also fall into a trap. What happens when the feeling leaves for whatever reason… and it will. We all hit those moments where we feel frustrated, burned out, drained and all used up. If we lose the feeling… what keeps us taking consistent action to reach our desired goals? If your big picture why is not ROCK SOLID to keep you plugging away during those times of no warm and fuzzy feelings, it can be a difficult thing to overcome.

I enjoyed your video…. lovely accent!

    Well done.

Live Full Out & On Purpose,

    Susan
.-= Susan Davis´s last blog ..Social Media Etiquette 101 =-.

    • Hi Susan, I understand what you mean when you speak of the feeling leaving you. ‘The Feeling’ will only last for so long and it’s quite fleeting in comparison to how long you have been trying to reach your goal, but it’s a signpost that you’re on the right road, you might never feel another signpost, until your reach your goal. It’s like driving along the motorway and you’re trying to get to ‘Freedom City.’ At the side of the road you see a sign saying ‘Freedom City’, it doesn’t say how many miles it is it just tells you you are on the right road. You might not see another sign for ‘Freedom City’ for 50 miles but you keep going as there isn’t anything to tell you that you are on the wrong road. You trust your gut feeling that you are still on the right path. If you veer off the path you will get a different kind of feeling altogether, one which says ‘this is not right’, you don’t know how you know this you just do. Have you ever been driving somewhere and taken the wrong turn, your gut instinct says ‘this is the wrong road’? how on earth do you know that if you’ve never been on the wrong road or have ever known the right road? There are always signs and our body will always give us feedback. Sorry, I think I laboured my point a little there :)
