Sharing is caring!

We are constantly bombarded with the latest anti aging drug, supplement, drink, cream, painless surgery and every other gimmick you can think of. Why do we suddenly want to stop the aging process? Why is the fountain of youth filled with false promises? We desperately want to look beautiful, forever, on the outside but what about what's going on inside? In our quest to preserve out external beauty we tend to neglect our body's desire for inner optimal health.

The anti aging vitamins our body wants the most surprisingly comes right from our food supply. Why then, do we still feed our bodies garbage food and then reach for expensive creams to maintain beautiful skin? Next time you want to spend money on some latest anti aging fad, look for these natural vitamins instead.

vitamins1. Vitamin A.

Some of the amazing benefits of this amazing Vitamin are: slows down the signs of aging skin, prevents breakouts and dark spots, reduces damage from the effects of sun and tanning beds and increases blood flow to the skin which aids in hydration . Pretty spectacular I'd say. So where can we naturally get this Vitamin? Carrots, broccoli, squash, mangoes, apricots and beef just to name a few. See how easy that is?

2. Vitamin B2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 also known as Riboflavin, Niacin, Biotin, Pantothenic acid and Pyridoxine.

The B family is certain a powerhouse Vitamin group packed with some of the most fantastic benefits including: helps dry skin, reduces sebum meaning less acne production, has anti-inflammatory properties, deep moisturizer, can protect against certain cancers. So where can we find these Vitamins? Lots of places. Yoghurt, soy beans, broccoli, chicken, fish, cheese, eggs, spinach, kale, bananas, almonds, walnuts, green peas, salmon, just to name a few.

3. Vitamin C.

Here's the easiest Vitamin to get as it is in almost every fruit you eat. This vitamin is the skin repairer and protector. It's also really good for cleaning us out (read = flush out toxins through bowel movements). You can get this vitamin from your fruits and vegetables. Though most juices claim to be 100% natural, I try to stay away from juice as much as possible and get my C right from the fruit. Not a fruit fan? You get C from most veggies too.

4. Vitamin D.

This vitamin aids in skin cell renewal and rejuvenates aging skin. D can be found in eggs, cheese, salmon, milk and cod liver oil just to name a handful. Vitamin D is also the happy Vitamin. For those who suffer from SAD (seasonal affective disorder) this is the vitamin to reach for to make you cheerier. Cheerier means glowing skin.

5. Vitamin E.

This is the one to reach for to reduce wrinkles and age spots and to help tighten skin. Vitamin E oil is also very effective at decreasing the look of scars though some have reported that it has almost completely eliminated their scars. This vitamin can be found in almonds, sunflower seeds, avocados, shrimp and tofu to name a few.

6. Vitamin F.

This one controls acne and aids in skin renewal. It also keeps your skin supple and soft. You can find F in olive oil, grapeseed oil, walnuts, avocados and salmon. Vitamin F is actually known as an essential fatty acid. Yes, it's a fat, really. but it's an extremely important fat that our body requires to maintain optimal health.

7. Vitamin K.

The last of this bunch, vitamin K helps to maintain skin elasticity and smoothens out fine wrinkles. This vitamin can be found in most leafy vegetables as well as meat, cheese and eggs.

With this many healing benefits from our vitamins in their natural state, why on earth do we keep reaching for pills, expensive creams and plastic surgeons? You have everything you need at your grocery store.
