“The worst lies are the lies we tell ourselves. We live in denial of what we do, even what we think. We do this because we’re afraid. We fear we will not find love, and when we find it we fear we’ll lose it. We fear that if we don’t have love we will be unhappy.” ~Bach
Lies are story that we tell ourselves when we are afraid or unwilling to face the truth. The world we live in puts the sign of the beast on those they find telling white lies. In reality we all have created smoke screens and stories to protect ourselves from what we may deem harmful truths.
When it comes to uncovering our own bullshit we have to become aware of the thoughts and emotions that we are embracing and becoming painfully honest with ourselves no matter what your life’s picture will begin to look like.
Every day we uncover a new truth and lay to rest the lies that we believed and were told about ourselves. This is a lifelong process and we all have to take part in the search of a higher and truer self. The key to this process is acceptance and knowing that you are always safe. Make it a daily habit to look in the mirror and tell you “I accept me just the way that I am”
