How do Positive Affirmations Work

Sharing is caring!

how-do-positive-affirmations-work

The definition of  affirmation is:

The act of confirming something to be true, or is a written or oral statement that confirms something is true.

Affirmations are a powerful ingredient in positive thinking and helping you to change the direction of your life to being more optimistic.  A lot of people think they may be a new age type of thing and dismiss them, however positive affirmations are extremely powerful when used correctly.

They are not wishful thinking statements, they are so much more than that.

How do they work?

Affirmations are positive statements to something you want to happen in your life or to install a belief you wish to have.  For example:

I am healthy in every way

Money flows into my life easily

I always strive for success in everything I do

I always push through my comfort zone

This is repeated several times on a daily basis, out loud or mentally, the aim being to program the subconscious mind into producing the desired outcome. They must be sincerely felt, and spoken in the present tense with conviction and enthusiasm.

Whether or not we realise it we carry out such mental programming every day; the trick is to make this programming conscious and positive.  Some of our current beliefs and thoughts are negative in nature and can hold us back in life.  Your reality is created by your thoughts and beliefs so wouldn't it be prudent to control your thoughts as much as possible and feed your mind with positive affirmations.

Why use positive affirmations?

Imagine for a few seconds what it would feel like if you were not a confident person at all.  Over the years you have programmed your mind to have this lack of confidence in yourself and your abilities.  That is negative affirmations at work and you haven't realised it.  You have programmed your mind with the thoughts and beliefs of someone who lacks confidence.

Now imagine there was a way to get rid of all the negative affirmations and replace them with positive affirmations.  You simply use positive affirmations in a conscious way to become a confident person.

How much of a difference would this make in your life if you could consciously program your mind to change your thoughts and beliefs to work for you instead of against you.

What can positive affirmations do for me?

You can change any aspect of your negative programming with positive affirmations.  Here are a few examples:

To become confident

To Feel healthy

To feel confident around women

To feel confident around men

To be more productive

To bring more money into your life

All of the above, and so much more, can be programmed: if you have been negatively programmed in any way, then you can become positively programmed.
