We all have one or two thought leaders who we greatly admire and look up to. I have a few myself and they inspire me to be more, do more and think more. Though we are all quite capable to think for ourselves, it's sometimes good to have a louder voice in your face saying "you can do it". it reassures us of our power that we forgot we had and it gives us a much needed kick in the arse.
There are leaders in spirituality, business, entrepreneurship, religion, personal development and a few other categories. Some are still alive and some are dead, their words of wisdom living on. Here is a small compilation of some of my favourite quotes that have gotten me through some questionable periods in my life and give me that much needed kick in the arse. In no particular order, "¦.
Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve. ~Napoleon Hill.
If you can think it, you can do it. The thought has already manifested in your mind. You have seen it, felt it and dreamed of it. If it's in there, you can bring it to life. The only thing stopping it from coming to fruition is our limiting belief that we can't do it. You can.
Life isn't about getting and having, it's about giving and being. ~Kevin Kruse.
In this materialistic and consumer filled world, it's easy to get caught up in the me me me mentality. Fact of the matter is, the more you give, from the heart, the more you will receive. In years to come, what do you really get from all the stuff you've collected? Nothing much really. A house full of stuff and an empty heart and wallet.
The mind is everything. What you think, you become. ~Buddha.
Careful what you think of yourself because if you keep telling yourself you are a failure, you will be a failure. If you think you will be lonely for the rest of your life, you will be. Think optimistic thoughts, success thoughts, happy and loving thoughts and watch your life transform.
I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel. ~Maya Angelou.
Make people feel good. All ways. Everyone needs to feel encouraged, loved, supported and special. If you treat people horribly, they will remember you for that, if you treat them with respect and love, they will remember that too. Be nice, really.
Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears. ~Les Brown.
Our fears have complete control over our lives until we decide to face them and flick them away. We put our dreams on the backburner or on the top shelf and take it out to look at it every now and then and put it back away because our fears tell us we can't or we aren't good enough. send your fear packing and go live your dreams
Build your own dreams or someone else will hire you to build theirs. ~Farrah Gray.
This one was a powerful one for me. Why should I spend my time and effort helping someone else achieve their dreams? What about mine? I have dreams too! Take action, make changes, have faith in yourself and start building your dreams, not someone else's. If they can do it, so can you.
Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck. ~ Dalai Lama.
Another great one. We want things and get terribly upset when we don't get them. After the fact, sometimes months or even years after the fact, we see that it was a wonderful twist of fate that we didn't get it at the time. We don't see it at the time but learn to appreciate when you don't get something that you want, it's because something better is coming.
These simple yet powerful quotes have kept me focused and determined to live a life of true happiness and abundance. Maybe some of these might be of great value to you. What are some of your favourite quotes? Share them with the others.
