I have read hundreds of self help books over the years however I don’t have time to read a lot nowadays. I have increasingly been buying and downloading audio and playing it in the car as I drive about 5 – 7 hours per week. This means I can listen to approximately 1 book per week.
I have found a great company which sells audio downloads of your favourite books.
I have a list of 17 books that I have read over the years that have inspired me, helped me on my journey or have been thought provoking. you can download these books to your computer if you want to buy them. I am an affiliate of Leisure Audio Books.
I hope you enjoy the list.

Great list Steven,
I’ve already listened through many of these titles as well.
Dear Steven,
Thank you so much for including my audiobook “Quantum NLP” in your list. It’s fantastic to see it on the same list as my favorites “Blink” and “The Secret”.
The world is so ready!
Many blessings to you,
Christiane
Hey Steve,
Great list you have there. Dale Carnegie’s “How to win friends and influence people” is on of my favorite!
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers
James

Steve:
I second the Susan Jeffers selections! And I haven’t read any of the other books; I look forward to giving them a try!
Thanks for the great suggestions.
I read a ton of books, including most of the one’s you have listed. However, the one that I wished I had written is…The Lazy way to Success by Fred Gratzon.
This is the coolest book with a fantastic message.
You won’t be disappointed…
Eduardo

Dan.
The List is very Informative and conclusive but all the links being affiliate links can make them look skeptical.
I had a copy of “Feel the fear and do it anyway” and it was a really useful one imho.
Thanks steve for giving this fabulous list.
Steve I would like to add one self help book to your rich list.
Read this books I am sure you will like this.
The Meaning of Things
hey, ive been drilling on tony robbins products.. are they really good? its the first one i got : personal power II. i want to change my life. is this good? francismanx94@yahoo.com
I have read the 4hww and found it extremely useful. Good that you put it up here. I have also been in regular touch with http://www.timferriss.com
I just started getting into the world of self-help Audio books.
Definitely better than reading or listening to music while commuting to work.
Just in the past couple of months I have quit smoking, started getting out of debt, and started taking my life by the reigns!
My favorite audio book so far is: Brian Tracy “The Science of Self Confidence”. He just makes everything so logical, and doesn’t get all wishy washy like some of the others.
Best book for quitting smoking by far is Allan Carr “The Easy Way to Quit Smoking”.
Doctors should be subscribing this instead of the Patch or Zyban!
Movie I recomend if you liked the Secret is “What the Bleep do we Know Anyway?”. It might give you some of the questions you were missing from the answers you have found.
I would love to get some good advice from others

I love The Science of Getting Rich. There is a free audio book of it at http://www.TheRealMikeGriffin.com. Just look in the resources section and you will see it as a podcast, chapters, or as a zip download of the mp3′s.
The trouble with reading these is that you never know if someone is genuienly promoting a book becasue they think it’s good or that they are affiliate marketers.
Awesome stuff! Spencer Michaels’ Ultimate Power should be somewhere on that list too.
Hey Steve, thanks for making an awesome short-list like this, I think it’s great, especially for those of us who ,might feel a bit overwhelmed when it comes to picking books of this nature to read. Your list is a fabulous way to get started. cheers

Steven:
I’d like to recommend to you one book that goes light-years beyond them all. Please have a look here: http://getonthepath.blogspot.com/
This book applies the very latest in neuroscience, anthropology and applied psychology to the self help field for electrifying results. There has literally never been anything like it before!
