Mind Alchemy
Update: Please click on this link for more information about The new Mind Alchemy course. All the links to the downloads have now been removed. I would like to thank all 800+ readers who expressed an interest in this course and for everyone who completed the course the first time round, it is becasue of you I could make the course better.

Well it’s officially over. Mind Alchemy started On the 1st February with over 800 people putting their comments on to join the course. We had 388 participants joining the Facebook group to make this course a huge success. I’d like to thank one person for this – YOU! Every single person who participated made the course a huge success and the friendships found through the course has been one of the biggest successes. I am normally a very quiet, introverted guy, but the group of people who joined the course helped me come out and play a bit more :) I know, with all the comments on Twitter, the Facebook group, and the blog how successful it has been for a lot of people, and for that it has all been worth it.

There were a few setbacks but nothing we couldn’t handle. There were a few people who struggled with their time to do it everyday, but they caught up, and there were a few whose lives have definitely changed for the better.

Your Thoughts

I’d like to ask you to give some feedback on the course as a whole and answer 4 questions about it. Can you leave your feedback in the comment section below. This will be a tremendous help as I out together the Mind Alchemy course for next month and make it even better than it was. It doesn’t matter if you’ve just started the course, didn’t really want to leave feedback before or had an active voice in the group I would really appreciate it if you could spend a few minutes of your time for feedback by answering the 4 questions below:

1. How was the course as a whole for you and what did you learn from it?
2. What was your biggest insight whilst doing the course?
3. Was there anything about the course that could be improved?
4. Would you recommend the course to anybody else considering doing it?

That’s it, obviously from my point of view the more detailed the response the better, but even if you want to put one line answer, it’s cool :)

Here is a summary of all the modules in the course.

What Happens now?

Mind Alchemy beta is just the start and will not end here. With your help and your feedback I plan to turn this into a guide, part of the CYT stable of guides, but this one will have a guide, a workbook with all the exercise sheets, and interviews with bloggers and authors on the topic of each module. The new course will have 20 modules, which you can take part in either working on your own or join one of the Mind Alchemy classes which I plan to run throughout the year. The classes will be run on a dedicated forum, and Facebook group and possibly webinars.

I think this will be an excellent course to take part and will be great for your personal development and you can invite anybody to join in with you.

I will post details on the blog and in the Facebook group when the new course is ready to buy and if you were a beta tester for this (guinea pig :) ) you can buy the new course and join in the fun and make new connections with like minded people.

The huge success, for me, was definitely being part of the Facebook group and the people I have met have been amazing and I know I will be keeping in touch with a lot of you.

Good luck everyone, and I wish you everything you wish for yourself in the future. I hope to see you on the next, new improved course. Remember and leave your feedback as it is really valuable for future groups.

  1. Steven, great job on Mind Alchemy. I’ve only scraped the surface of some of your posts, and I look forward to going back and reading them more in-depth. The other projects you have planned sound great! Also, love the new look on your blog!

    • Cheers Steve, appreciate your feedback. Blog was changed out of necessity but I am working on the design so it might have been a good thing that the blog was hacked :) Thanks again.

I get so many emails that I lost track of this signup at first so got behind (working on fixing this problem by unsubscribing to multiple subscriptions every day). Knew I wouldn’t catch up so I decided to download each day’s lesson and make a workbook that I could start early in March. Did end up scanning the daily message and exercises and what I saw encouraged me to keep downloading them. Look forward to starting the process for myself starting in a week. Thanks for this program. Obviously will continue with your blog/FB.

What I learnt & biggest insight

Thank you for gifting the world with so much knowledge and inspiration. I have really enjoyed reading your work and getting to know bits about you and your journey. The course provided a huge amount of amazing information. I liked that each day you touched on a personal development technique (not sure if they all can be called that)… I liked that you looked at where we were at and took us through where we would like to be, how to relax, replace, redirect, motivate, change beliefs, let go, fears etc etc… There are so many amazing exercises that you have included and I know my favourite ones without a doubt were to write a list of our daily tasks and to write our ideal day. These two exercises, although possibly the simplest where my greatest teachers. My major issue is da da da…. time. The biggest lesson that I have learnt is that I I have about 35 more items on my list of to do each day than I am able to complete. I start my day at 4am and finish at 9pm, seven days a week. I am attempting to live 9 lives in one day. To give you an example during the course I spent 10 days in the Caribbean, I am in the process of starting a business, a radio show, I have a three year old who is full on – no sitting a playing quietly for my wee one. I have a few properties that I manage, I travel a great deal on weekends and I have a husband with a complex schedule that I try to fit my life into here and there. At times I am booking life into 15 minute segments for 10 hours of the day. So, what I learnt was about myself and my unrealistic existence I am currently in. The course stopped me long enough for me to get it. I am grateful for your course because you made this so obvious… had someone tried to tell me this or point this out to me, I would have steam rolled, ignored etc…

    Anything to improve?

I think I will be one of the only people who doesn’t like this… but I don’t read very many blogs and I think it is a blog style of writing. I think that the course would hold more authority if you didn’t share your internal chatter. Such as “I was thinking about writing on this but I decided to leave that out and talk about this”…. For me you loose impact when you do that because it makes you sound uncertain. I think others will find it humble, honest, approachable… which is great for a blog but I think for a course you can have personality but I would prefer a delivery along the lines of…. ‘here it is, have fun’…

Otherwise I was really impressed with the quality and quantity of information.

    Recommendation

I would recommend this course to all seekers looking for change/improvement and not sure where to start. Also, I think a course like this would be great to modify and use for up and coming high school graduates or teens around that age. There are so many wonderful life skills covered… why what until we are in our 40′s and trying to repair our lives!!!

Many blessings and much love to you Steve. Wonderful work and greatly appreciated.

    • Hi Amy, thank you for you thoughts and feedback on the course. I thought I was busy until I read your schedule :)

i know what you are talking about with the internal chatter. I think it adds a more human quality, but I take on board what you have said.

Thanks again Amy I really appreciate you taking time to write this.

  4. Marcel Vester says:

    Steve,

I have not been able to follow the course as strict as I initially planned to do, still need to do some catch up, but realise this work is never finished. Below my feedback:
    1. The course was exactly what I needed at this moment in time, I’m excited about this new way of sharing knowledge/experience on a large scale (impact) while still making a living
    2. Learned: Understand who you are, choose a destiny that is close to your heart, believe in what you’re doing.
    3. Combining work and soul searching is hard. Sometimes it takes time to digest and allow the answers to come. Wonder if spreading the work would allow more people to keep up and join the discussions.
    4. I would definitely advice the course to others. Wondering if you have considered different pricing models (e.g. low startup fee, payment per module, free donation). I have no experience in this area, but it may very well be that lowering the threshold will attract more people, allow them to experience the value of this course, increasing the willingness to pay the right price. GOOD LUCK.

    • Hi Marcel, thanks for your comments and feedback. It sounds as if you have learned a lot from the course.

Thanks for your suggestions on the pricing structure. I’ve thought of different models and thought the one price with an upgrade option would be the best way to go.

  5. Really sad to have finish this course. It was so pleasant to receive each day THE LETTER…
I must thank you for all informations you gave us. You know what? I have stop reading all the other newsletter about self improvement since the 2nd of February. Now I want to re read again all the letters and improve the exercises.
For me, it was quiet hard because I am French and my English is a little weak.
What I appreciate the most is: You made a sort of directions for use for self development.
I know that I must control my thoughts, I know that I can change my beliefs, control my emotions, ask the good questions be grateful… But you explained us in witch order doing that..
The most difficult was to decide the goals but with the wheel of life, it is more easy.
the motivation film was difficult but I turned that making a PPS.
May be a vacation per week could help us to study more?
Anyway I have already purpose this stage to some of my friends.
    Will it exist in French?
THANK YOU dear Steve, good continuation.

    • Hey Bernard. What a wonderful compliment to receive, i really appreciate it.

You could translate it to french if you wish, no worries there at all, however my French is not so good so I wouldn’t be doing that just now.

Thanks again Bernard for your time.

  6. Lyn Nielson says:

Hi Steven, Thank you, and thank you for your questions, 1) How was the course as a whole, Very good lots of learning and I will continue reading your posts and going over the lessons. 2) What was my biggest learning? Writing my perfect day, that was wonderful and I read it and hold it in my heart, now I need to create it always. 3)I don’t know if it could be improved except with more time with each day work. I am still going over some of the things and will for a while. 4) Yes I would recommend it to others and have. I will continue to do so.
I have taken and taught many self help, life skill, Law of Attraction, course, I love to learn and teach. This is a very good course, loved the visual that you put us through, I liked that this was a little different than what I have done before, and I have never written my perfect day before and for me that was very empowering for me. I stood up for myself twice because of facing my fear. Did I do it right don’t know I did it thank you. With Gratitude I feel that I am full. What I liked was the way you looked at gratitude and realizing to go deeper. Letting go of outcomes, Wow! I hope my feedback is helpful to you. I look forward to keeping in touch with you and the people I met. Take Care Steven you are a special person. Please keep in touch.

    • Hi Lyn. Thanks for your feedback.

I think I knew as the course wss going along that some readers were struggling with keeping up. The new course has 20 modules, one for each day of the week and the weekends off to catch up or reflect.

I am glad you enjoyed your perfect day exercise, I think it’s a powerful one to do.

Your feedback is extremely useful to me. Thanks again for being a great part of the group.

  7. Stacy says:

    Hi Steven,
I enjoyed the course very much and I learned a lot from it! I looked forward to each day’s new post and task. The biggest thing that I walked away with was asking the right questions. I have also been greatly inspired by the life affirmation video that I made. I can’t think of any improvements, the course was great and I will miss it! I hope that the participants can still keep in touch! I would definitely recommend this course to others! It’s fantastic!

Thank you so much for all of the time, energy and effort that you have put into it!
    Stacy

    • Hi Stacy. Thank you for your commitment to the course. I know what it takes to blog every day and it’s not easy, so i appreciate you making time for this.

I really enjoyed having you in the group and you made the group a special place to hang out.

thanks for your comments and feedback and best wishes for the future.

  8. Mars Dorian says:

    Hey Steven,

CONGRATS to your project ! Quite a massive thing to pull off, and I’m glad you managed it.
What a grrreat way to start a product btw – all the feedback you get will be INVALUABLE for your future.
    Nicely done, sir !

    • Hey Mars, thanks for your comments.

From a marketing point of view I think it makes good sense to offer a course this way, this way I get feedback, tweak the course a accordingly and then put a great product out there.

  9. Jeremy says:

    Steven,

I feel fortunate to have discovered your site at a time when I was really searching for something like this course. I’m in awe of what you’re able to accomplish, and suspect you have a real sense of contentment not only in seeing the fruit of your work, but also in helping others to uncover answers that lie within. I’m really grateful to you, and to the group, even though I participated sporadically in the conversations, I really enjoyed being apart of the community, and will continue to contribute when I can. I’m looking forward to staying connected.

    1. On the whole, I’m sad that it’s ending! I found the course to be motivating and powerful. I enjoyed going through the exercises and discovering new ways of thinking, focusing… realizing that not only am I better off than my mind sometimes imagines, but also that with work, I really can install new habits in terms of my inner conversations to see things more positively in general. I’m already looking forward to going back through your course at my own pace in March.

    2. Ha! My biggest surprise was discovering (admitting?) my values about certain life areas. I knew of this Pavlina exercise already, but never actually did it b/c it seemed so overwhelming (to the point that I never saw the benefit of it) … I liked the way you took it a step further by having us identify values for each life area …. Very revealing …. good job, and thanks for making me go through it b/c it brought insight to my life areas.

Also, I really enjoyed the module about asking the right questions… I love the feeling of clarity that follows as my mind stops working against me in order to focus upon answering the right question! … I join Stacy in stating that this is one step beyond daily affirmations … it really taps into the power of the mind for practical solutions instantly. It’s nice to feel the mind working for me, rather than against me!!! Good one.

Oh, and I like my ‘Wall of Power’… wallpapering my office with my Outcomes kicks ass!! I like thinking that anything I post up there will come to pass. Looking forward to delving into more affirmation videos as well… that was a lot of fun, too.

    3. I don’t know how you would improve the course… I’m the one that needs improvement!

I found some exercises difficult to complete in just one day… (Day 5 Outcomes, for example)… I really wanted to give them the time and attention they deserved… in my haste to catch up, I did not go as deeply as I wanted in some of the exercises … so I’m looking forward already to re-doing the course this month.

    4. I would propose this course to anyone who’s considering it… if for nothing else, just to be apart of the community that you’re building around it is worth it.

    • Hey Jeremy. Thank you so much for taking the time to write your feedback.

I think the biggest success was the community spirit on the Facebook group, and, to a lesser degree, the blog and I am with you about being sad that it’s finishing :)

You should post a photo of your wall of power, that would be an amazing picture, I can just imagine it.

Some of the modules would be difficult to complete in a day, I am with you on that. The course is being changed accordingly and will be 5 days per week with the weekend off for catching up or reflecting.

Thanks again for being a great part of the group, your comments were always appreciated. Best of wishes to you Jeremy, and I’ll see you in the FB group.

  10. Margaret says:

    Hi Steve,

Thank you so much for this great program. I appreciate your time and effort. 
Honestly I did not complete all exercises as I planned but what I did helped me to change my way of thinking in positive way.

    Here is my short report.
I looked forward for your blog every day and enjoyed learning something new. When I started the program one of the lowest points on my wheel of life was: goals. Year ago I lost job that was very important to me and found myself lost and disappointed. Your program reminded me about things I care that make me feel good about myself. My goals score improved as I see things in different light. There were other improvements as well but this was the most important to me at this time.

I enjoyed your personal insights and your sense of humor. For my needs I found the program interesting and inspiring. No need to change anything.

I would recommend this course to anybody who needs spiritual guidance. I will also continue doing your program for my own good. Thank you again and I wish you success in every aspect of your life.

    Margaret

    • Hi Margaret, thanks for taking the time to give me your feedback. I am glad this course helped you in some way and I wish you much success in the coming year. Thanks again Margaret.

  11. Evelyn Lim says:

Hi Steven, congrats to the completion of your course. I have to admit that I haven’t been able to follow all your modules. As a Vision Board Counselor, I teach visioning myself and know that whatever you are covering is going to help many others. You’ve turned your project into a success. I’ve got much to learn from you too :-) Well done!

  12. Hi Steven,

it was a great course though I still didnt complete it. Just caught up with different things and never bothered to continue. Like you could read on my blog I already have a great feeling of confidence and vision of where I wanna be, who I wanna be and more. So to me there was never any rush to complete anything though I found it exhilarating. To answer the questions:

    1. How was the course as a whole for you and what did you learn from it?
It was a LOT of work. It showed me to look at yourself and force to make decisions on who you want to be where you want to go, etc. All in all I learned a lot from it.

    2. What was your biggest insight whilst doing the course?
My biggest insight probably was that I saw myself as being someone who knows what he wants but also doesnt have everything going on perfectly in his own private life. Family and health could be way better.

    3. Was there anything about the course that could be improved?
Well, there were already days added to catch up which I think was great. For me the best thing to do is have it run 5 days a week during the week and then 2 days catch up in the weekend. For me its mostly all or nothing so I go at it HARD or I dont ;)

    4. Would you recommend the course to anybody else considering doing it?
Hell yes. Anyone who doesnt know what he/she wants with his life should join this as a sort of self-assessment and then work on his or herself to improve these aspects.

I found it highly inspiring. I also loved helping everyone else as far as I could. Again, thanks for the course and your assistance during the course.

Always good to feel connected to others.

Cheers Steven, when you’re ever in Holland please let me know. We can have a drink or two!

    • Hi Dereck, thanks so much for taking the time to write your feedback. You were one of the integral members in the group, always willing to help others and giving your thoughts on each day, and of course writing your blog about the course, and for all of that I can’t thank you enough.

I totally take your point about running the course during the week and having the weekends off and that is exactly my intention for the next course.

Have a glass of Cider reader when I get to Holland, I’ll hold you to that :)

      Thanks again for everything Dereck.

  13. Koula says:

hey Steven, I AM sorry i haven’t been in touch, recently, I was ill with migraine, couldn’t do any reading, or tv or computers, had to give my eyes some rest. here is my answers to you……….

How was the course as a whole for you and what did you learn from it?
Everyday I was looking to find time and see my next exercise, It was exciting, light and felt a sense of belonging, being a part of the team, It has set my mind to be more focus to what I want and not let my life pass and compromising for less.

    2. What was your biggest insight whilst doing the course?
Reverse psychology, what i needed the most, to see that my dream is not untouchable, it is as normal as doing my laundry

    3. Was there anything about the course that could be improved?
I am not sure about this, maybe more repetition on some exercises, encouragement……….I found it very difficult to find time to finish how I really wanted some of the exercises.

    4. Would you recommend the course to anybody else considering doing it?
Definitely, I Would do it again and again, and I TRULY BELIEVE that there is a lot of work behind this. I honestly believe that Steven has worked it over and over again, before this was up…………………Steven it is a great coarse, maybe this is a course we need to redo every few months, with the main exercises.

A big thank you, thank you for your kindness and support, for answering my questions, for being next to us……..God bless you and your family……….

    • Hi Koula, no need for apologies, I hope you are feeling better?

Thanks you so much for taking the time to write your review and feedback, i really appreciate it.

It’s great to see you got a lot out of the course Koula, and I think your suggestions are great and will help to improve the next course.

      Thanks again Koula, take care.

  14. Rachel Sandon says:

    Dear Steven

    Here is my feed back.

    1. How was the course as a whole for you and what did you learn from it?
I think you are on to a winner here. The best thing for me has been the daily emails coming in to beckon me to a better life and way of thinking. Especially someone who feels rubbish every morning until I have had two cups of tea.
    2. What was your biggest insight whilst doing the course?
I really like the personal style and your stream of consciousness way of thinking. The key, as I think I have mentioned in a previous message,is reflected in your blog title – Change Your Thoughts – Change Your Life. So if you have mentioned that you changed your mind it shows your way of thinking and that you are not afraid to say you have decide take another tack. This to me is not a sign of weakness – it is a sign of confidence and strength.
I have always found it difficult to allow myself to change my mind in that way. This is so important if someone wishes to fundamentally shift that rigid mind set, whatever it is, and which can be useful in certain situations, but in the end can just lead to the same negative or non-outcomes.

So now instead of saying “That’s little old me that’s just the way I am. “It’s now followed by “And you can damn well change it!! “ In a nice way of course. Every single thought we have can determine how we will feel and act over the day. Even if I am ill – I know now that dealing with it differently can help me to recover more quickly.
    3. Was there anything about the course that could be improved?
For me it would just be a bit more time for each exercise to be done properly. I still have loads to do but I did the essentials of getting the Outcomes done and analysed. Even I haven’t done an exercise on paper I am mentally thinking about the issues. So perhaps just a bit more time for some parts. And a few more days off or time to catch up which you incorporated a bit anyhow. However the rapidness of the course is literally a wake-up call, so keep the daily emails even if it is to prompt reflection and repeat exercises.

    4. Would you recommend the course to anybody else considering doing it?
Definitely I would, even to a cynic. I see lots of people who have all the tools to be happier and more fulfilled but just don’t know how to access them. And this is a lot of fun as well. Still got to do the video.

    Addendum
There are many self-help courses with similar methods etc but for me this course with the facebook, the blog just really encouraged me. The fact that I already had been following the Change Your Thoughts blog was a real bonus and then trying out this course was the icing on the cake. I did think twice about it but I am more than pleased that I have taken part as much as I have been able to.
I look forward to the final product and by then I will probably need another large dose of Aitchinson’s Alchemy.

    Thank you so much.
    Rachel.

    • Hi Rachel, thank you for taking the time to write your review and feedback, I appreciate it a lot.

I am hearing everyone about having more time to do the exercises and have changed the structure of the next course due at the end of April. It sounds as if you got a lot from the course and I couldn’t be happier about that.

      Thanks again Rachel

  15. Lori says:

    1. How was the course as a whole for you and what did you learn from it?
The course was challenging and motivating. The biggest thing I learned is that if I am unhappy about any aspect of my life I can do something to make it better.
    2. What was your biggest insight whilst doing the course?
Understanding the power of my thoughts is life-changing! I don’t feel like a victim anymore, because I can make something positive of any situation if I will be proactive instead of reactive.
    3. Was there anything about the course that could be improved? For me, day 5′s assignment came a little to soon. I didn’t feel quite prepared to make outcomes statements- so I ended up dragging my feet on this one. Day 5 seemed pivotal because we came back to these the rest of the course.
    4. Would you recommend the course to anybody else considering doing it?
Absolutely. This course provided a structured way to challenge yourself in the way you perceive your world. Having a community to chat with was helpful, because it gave instant feedback to any questions and gave perspectives to challenge your thoughts. (Or many times, let you know your aren’t alone in your thoughts.)
You might get more interest in providing a low fee for the course, and as you get more people following your work have other webinars or groups spin off that would also be for fee. (Some days in this module could be expanded,(Day 5!) and those who would like more in depth work could pay a fee for extra instruction) Just some ideas for you! Again, thank you for letting me take part!

    • Hey Lori, thank you for your time, I really appreciate it.

Your feedback on day 5 of the course is great and is something I will have to think about. I also like your suggestions about the pricing structure of the course, and is something I am think about just now.

      Thanks again Lori, take care.

  16. Marty says:

    1. How was the course as a whole for you and what did you learn from it?
Keeping the coals warm and keeping networked with similar minded people has helped me overcome some challenges. I really relate to a post Stacy Clafin made today where she has described a personal challenge whilst doing the course that tempted her to give up, I had a similar experience. I’ve reminded myself that it is wise to seek help and humble myself to do this. I’ve picked up some great material from the course that I’ve not only used for myself, but also used and adapted when working with clients.

    2. What was your biggest insight whilst doing the course?
The power of visualisation and relaxation exercises. The way these can increase confidence. It helped me to stand up for myself when it was needed. The realisation that I definitely have the skills to make this sort of work a real success for myself. Using the tools (the material provided) is great, but additionally, using it with passion and personality really makes the difference in it becoming effective. Passion is infectious. I like to be around passionate people. I see others feed off my passion too. Just the feedback from my own blogs has proved that.

    3. Was there anything about the course that could be improved?
As an online course, the use of pdf files obviously makes for small file sizes, however, I think it would be useful to offer the documentation in word format too. I suggest using Open Office to do this, mainly because Microsoft have some different versions of word, the latest of which is not backward compatible. Not surprising really because MS wants us to buy their latest version. This is not necessary if you use the free, open source “Open Office” package. This is compatible with all MS software and doesn’t cost anything. I realise that some, maybe most people like to print off the documentation and complete it manually, I like to keep it all electronically and I guess many others do too.
I like the fact that you made short breaks in the course. I sensed you came to this conclusion as the course was running. Maybe that could be developed. Perhaps that could be 2 to 3 days works, then a day off for evaluation, catching up and embedding the learning. Maybe something else similar. I think there was a temptation for some of us to be anxious to keep up. I’m conscious that I maybe rushed some of the work. I can of course go back over it and develop those days in my own time.
    4. Would you recommend the course to anybody else considering doing it?
I already have. Some personal friends have started doing it in the last week. I will continue to recommend it.

Thanks again Steve for a great experience. The best part of all is making some great friends and being part of a community. That is true humanity in action.

    • Hi Marty, thanks for your feedback and suggestions.

You were also an integral part of the course success. You were willing to help anybody that needed it, gave great feedback and started and joined in conversations which were extremely helpful to the group, and of course writing your blog about the course was amazing – a huge thank you for that.

Your feedback is spot on and I get what you mean about the PDF files. This is something I will change and will offer the course in word format and open office format.

I think, as you said, one of the best parts was being part of the community of people who were doing it together, and I have to agree.

Your help about blogging has been invaluable Steven. I now have some great contacts. I’ve got an awesome post coming out tomorrow that is scheduled to be revealed at 7am. It is revamping an idea by an old blogging pal about 5 years ago. If you see it and like it, please share it with everyone. It is a festival of sorts and can be incredibly powerful and motivational.

    Hi Steven

Thank you for all the time, thought and effort that went into your Mind Alchemy course. I found the course very interesting and informative.

I think the most important thing I learned was how to become more aware of my thoughts. You gave me some nifty tools to modify or redirect those thoughts.

Day 23, The big I am day was an eye opener for me. I had never heard of nominalization before. Just by turning verbs into nouns I had been locking myself into certain beliefs procedures and relationships. What a relevation! By becoming aware of what I was doing I have been able to start changing the way I look at my life and the people in it. Thank you for this lesson. This lesson was one of the most insightful for me.

I was overwhelmed by the number of values to choose from in Day 3 Life Values. Some values that were similar could have been eliminated or grouped together. I realize elation, joy, bliss and ecstasy are all slightly different but if these values had been grouped by theme it would have been easier to chose. Perhaps you could develop a online database where a course member could sort values by theme, wheel of life area and relevance.

You could add more value to your course with more video of you explaining your concepts. Audio transcripts could give course members the option of listening to your lessons on the drive to work or during their workouts.

I would recommend this course to anyone interested in gaining conscious control of their thoughts and their lives. I think someone just starting out in life would benefit greatly from this course.

I think you did a great job presenting this course Steven. Thank you for all the insights. I look forward to your every post.

You are welcome to use any communications from me in your future works.

If you are planning on speaking do check out Toastmasters. Each spring Toastmasters compete in an International speech contest. Check out the division level speech contest in your area. It will provide you with inspiration and motivation.

    • Hi Wayne, thanks for taking the time to write this review and feedback.

I am so glad that you took something away from the course and the module ‘The Big I Am’ is an important one which will be staying in the next course.

I take your point about adding more value and having audio, and is something I have been thinking about

Thanks for your recommendations on Toastmasters, I have already joined and will need to get to more meetings before entering any contests :)

      thanks again Wayne

    1. How was the course as a whole for you and what did you learn from it?
Not long before I read about your course, I wanted to benefit from the services of a professional coach but I didn’t have enough money to hire her. Therefore I knew your testing of Mind Alchemy was the answer to my wish. I have learned a lot of ways to improve my thinking, relax and enjoy the life I have and I know I’ll keep doing those exercises that help me the most.

    2. What was your biggest insight whilst doing the course?
My biggest insight was that I could really de-nonimalize my life. It just made me believe that everything was possible, that absolutely nothing was fixed in my attitude or personality and that every little step I made could be a step to a beautiful outcome. (My second biggest insight was the need to be detached from my outcomes, and the third – the need for balance).

    3. Was there anything about the course that could be improved?
It was hard for me to grasp the difference between the expression of vision statements and the outcomes themselves, maybe you could make it clearer. I’d also like you to dwell a bit more on what to do after we’ve understood the nature of our thoughts, how can we put this knowledge to good use?
As far as style is concerned, I work as a translator and I tend to notice when a text hasn’t been checked and reworked. When you have time to go through the lessons again, please review the syntax and style carefully because some paragraph need improving (and I’m not even a native speaker of English).

    4. Would you recommend the course to anybody else considering doing it?
    Yes, definitely.

    • Hi Dana, thank you for taking the time to write your feedback and recommendations.

I am glad you got a lot out of the course and it has helped you in your life in some way, that’s the best compliment ever.

You’re right about the need for proof reading, and I will be hiring a proof reader for the next course, to make sure everything flows just right :)

      Thanks again Dana.

    Hi Steve

I have really, really enjoyed doing this course, I am so grateful 1, to you for offering it, 2, to you for offering it for free and 3, that I had the opportunity to participate. It is a wonderful achievement and you should be very proud :-)

The difference I feel since completing it is huge. Days 4, 5 and 6 were the turning point – they provided me the tools to articulate what I want in a way they actually seem achievable, and then the exercise of reading them back daily, I read them before I go to work and they cheer my heart for the whole day. I feel more positive, proactive and upbeat about my life and this is absolutely invaluable for me as I sometimes struggle to hope.

I have already, and will continue to, recommend this course and your blog.

Steve, I noticed too about the need for a proof-reader. I have worked as a proof-reader for a website before, I’d be happy to volunteer my help!

    Thank you,

    B

    Hi Steve,

First, thanks very much for the course. I eagerly looked forward to it and the first few days were really good. Unfortunately, due to having a number of other things going on during February I was unable to fully participate.

I’m hoping the course will still be up for most of March as I’m hoping to quickly whizz through it. Could you please confirm when it will be removed?

  21. Natasha Cording says:

    Hi Steve …

Sincere apologies for the delay in responding, happy personal matters took over for a couple of weeks :)

    1. How was the course as a whole for you and what did you learn from it?
The course was truly superb. I was having a hard time adjusting to a new life and this course helped me positively focus on where I want to be, who I want to be, and what is really important. Your course has also re-motivated me to continue to work towards being a better more balanced person. I also enjoyed and was motivated by the interaction between the many people taking part and you. I also really liked the way the work of one day was used as the basis of the next day: values, to vision statements, to outcomes – it gave it flow: a smooth continuous joined feeling where each day built on the work of the previous day.

    2. What was your biggest insight whilst doing the course?
I fell in to a negative mode when I moved to France in November, your course helped me to remember that how we see life is a choice. I felt empowered again and was more conscious of the things I was telling myself, the questions I was asking myself and being grateful for all the positives, of which there are many.

    3. Was there anything about the course that could be improved?
I liked the introduction of the rest / re-cap days.
I liked the way in the beginning one exercise led into the next and wondered if that could happen a little more throughout the course, or if there could be stages to re-visit, re-work, enhance items within the course.
I liked the interaction with you/ other group members I don’t know if you intended to have your courses as open in the future but I really liked knowing I wasn’t alone.

    4. Would you recommend the course to anybody else considering doing it?
I would and in fact have recommended your course, and I am thinking of re-doing it myself.

With sincere thanks and wishing you every success, Natasha
