This video is about ‘Crossing The Lines’ in your mind to change an aspect of your life. To change anything in your life you have to believe, perceive, think and emotionalise the person you want to become. If you can’t believe in the person you want to become, you will not become that person. If you can believe in the person you want to become and you can think like the person and perceive the world like the person and have the emotions of the person you want to become you will eventually become the person you want to be.
This video will explain it a little better and I tell you a little about ‘Crossing The Lines’ which I am working on just now. I am putting my heart and soul into this to make it the best product ever, and it promises to help change your life to where you really want to be in your life.

Hi Steven,
This is a superb idea! I have always been all for being the person I want to be NOW! If you think feel and act like a winner…you will eventually BE a Winner. The universe works with your positive thoughts and creates a ripple effect….which comes back to you in the form of opportunities opening up and your mind being open enough to accept these new and great opportunities.
Beautiful and very informative video!
I’ve already signed up for the manifesto.
Good luck…youre a force of nature for sure
Much Love,
Z~
Hi Zeenat. I honestly believe in the power of this and I know it works. You obviously know this works too and you have done brilliant over the last few months in your life.
Hi Steven
This is a fantastic idea indeed! We cannot attract that which we cannot imagine. Yes, change does start in our mind, and until we “cross that line” where we can see the outcome, we most likely will not be able to move in the direction we desire or attract the desired outcome.
.-= Evita´s last blog ..We Are All Evolving Beings =-.
Hi Evita, thanks for your comments on this I appreciate it. I think it’s impossible to become who we want without actually working out in our mind how to do it.
Steven,
A great idea for encouraging people to achieve the life they are seeking. Many people attempt to make changes in their life without using any visualisation technique. The manifesto idea looks like a great product and i wish you luck with it.
Regards
Paul

Hi Paul, thanks for your comments on this. The manifesto is just a pre-cursor to the actual product itself but I am hoping readers find it valuable.
Hi, Steven
This subject is my ‘crumple button’, I pursue so much but don’t believe in myself wholeheartedly. Having said this, a helping hand helps to push things along, so thanks for the prompt! Beliefs are difficult to overturn when they’ve been around as long as mine have, they have been overturned one by one. Not in 30 days alas, but I do sense your conviction. A lesser misguided belief led me to believe that my favourite clear tipple helped me through difficult spots, but of course it didn’t. ‘Crossing the line’ for me is a particularly hard task, somewhat like digging for gold with a teaspoon. Fortunately however, I am more than blessed with an imagination so this means that currently there is frequent conflict with my beliefs. Hard work in progress!
I think a rule of thumb for some of us here is ‘don’t give up’.
Thanks for the opportunity to think some more.
Annette
Annette,
There are some great NLP techniques for eliminating or changing limiting beliefs. Hypnosis can be useful as well. Have you tried any of these?
Chris
.-= Chris Akins´s last blog ..Building great relationships, Part I =-.
Hi Chris,
Thanks for the comment, I have a number of pre-recorded cd’s re hypnosis and these have certainly helped (over time). I also have some CBT/NLP work books and a range of excellent literature including poetry. The problem with the literature, cds etc is that I won’t buy into wholeheartedly. Its ridiculous! However, I have amassed this great stuff for a reason and I know that rather than enjoying a dramatic shift in such beliefs, they are indeed shifting in a very small, conflicting way. Just starting to venture into the idea of meditation. Having entrenched beliefs that are not helpful is no easy task toundo, that much is a fact! But thankyou again.
Annette
Hi Annette. Chris has mentioned this already but NLP techniques can be great for this and CBT techniques as well.
Dear Steve,
I am so enjoying these videos of yours. They are enriching and beautiful. I’ve used this technique so many times. I realized when I started writing that if I wanted to be a published writer that I had to see that in my mind. And even more, when asked what I did for a living I would say I was a writer. I acted, spoke and thought like a writer. And that is exactly what I’ve become.
It’s almost as if we have to think and act “as if” we are ALREADY 20 pounds lighter. If we can do that along with taking the necessary steps then we are home and hosed (have arrived at our goal).
I love how the tenor of your voice is soooo kind and soft, yet solid and clear. I think it’s the compassion I sense in it. You are just a very kind soul. Thank you dear friend for doing SUCH a wonderful job. I am truly proud of you.
Hugs,
Robin
.-= Robin Easton´s last blog ..What Does “Naked in Eden” Mean? =-.
Hi Robin. I love seeing you here at CYT, mainly because of the positivity you exude. I think you epitomise what I am trying to say in the video: turn yourself into the person you want to be inside and out and, more often then not, it will happen.
Thanks for your kind words about the videos, I feel a little more confident doing them so will continue as is
Hi Steven,
Yes, totally agree that you have to be able to visualize yourself achieving your goal and being “that sort of person” in order to succeed. If you can’t really see yourself being that then your subconscious will hold you back and find ways to “self-sabotage”.
I think that as well as visualizing the end result it is also helpful to focus on the small steps along the way as well. To use the example of weight loss it might be helpful to visualize the small victories like turning down a piece of cake at a works -do or even visualizing failing one of these litle tests and then bouncing back from it and carrying on. Focussing on the process, including the possible setbacks, can help get you where you want to go.
Great video!
Gareth
Hi Gareth, thanks for your comments. You’ve made some good suggestions on how to use this in life.
Steve,
As I watched the video I thought of the NLP concept of Well-Formed Outcomes. Basically, the WFO is about really detailing the goals, what the consequences of achieving them will be, what it will feel like, look like, etc. to create a reality in your mind of having achieved the goal. Powerful stuff.
Chris
.-= Chris Akins´s last blog ..Building great relationships, Part I =-.
That’s it Chris, I will need to look into a course in NLP
. I’ve had a lot of feedback saying that my articles resemble something that is being done in NLP so as soon as I give up the day job I will look at an NLP course
Very good. Taking the “Crossing The Lines” concept further, I hang out with folks I want to emulate. Not only do I try to believe in where I want to be with my life, but I spend time with folks who are where I believe I will eventually become, or at least that part of their character I want take on.
.-= Colleen´s last blog ..Kennewick Real Estate =-.
Hi Colleen, that’s a great suggestion, but I am wondering how you do this, how do you find the people you want to emulate?
Steven,
Thanks for the video. And good luck with the upcoming release of the Manifesto and “Crossing the Lines” product release in June. Very exciting!
I think that visualizing and, perhaps more importantly, truly “feeling” right now what you want to be in the future is perhaps the most important part of change. Once you do this, the universe lines things up to bring you what you want. All you have to do is take inspired action.
I think it all goes back to focusing on what you want (who you are in the future) instead of what you don’t want (where you are right now).
.-= Greg Blencoe´s last blog ..Three ways of dealing with triggers of negative thoughts =-.
Hi Greg, you are absolutely right, it comes down to who you really want to be in life and what you don’t want to have in life.
Annette,
It’s great to hear that you are thinking about starting to meditate. I have been meditating for the past 2-3 years and it has really made a huge positive impact on my life. I think meditation can help people connect with the non-physical spirit within them which I believe is pure positive energy and unconditional love.
When this connection is made, I think that people can realize that this is truly who they are. And then they feel deserving of having good things in their lives. I think the reason a lot of people don’t have things that they want is often because they don’t feel they deserve to have them.
Furthermore, here are a couple of things that you wrote that stood out to me:
“Beliefs are difficult to overturn when they’ve been around as long as mine have…”
“Having entrenched beliefs that are not helpful is no easy task to undo, that much is a fact!”
To be completely honest, I think as long as you tell yourself that your beliefs are difficult to change, then that is exactly what you will get.
If it were me, I would start saying an Afformation to myself throughout the day to interrupt this train of thought. It might be something like this:
“Why is it so easy for me to have new positive beliefs?”
Here is a link to a December 2008 guest post on the Change Your Thoughts blog from Noah St. John, the inventor of Afformations, which explains the concept:
AFFORMATIONS: Better Than Affirmations? Part 1

(Note: You can read part 2 of the article by clicking on the link at the end of part 1.)
I hope this helps!

It sounds quiet good, loved the video. the mind is obviously very powerful and we definitely have to work on our thoughts, feelings and beliefs to cross the lines…. look forward to it. Cuz we do become wat we think so why not work on our thoughts to cross the line…..

Hi Steven,
Well done! Everything starts with a thought and from their form is created.
We are what we think and feel. We are the creators of our reality. Limitation does not exist until we think that it does.
Hope all is well!

Hi Jonathan thanks for the comments, I appreciate them.
Hey Steven, nice post. I like your analogy of lines to our beliefs, perceptions, thoughts, and emotions. We need to be able to change these things and work on them internally, before we start to make big changes physically. Thanks for reminding of us of this in your video.
.-= Hulbert´s last blog ..Jay Leno and Nice =-.
Hi Hulbert, thanks for leaving your thoughts on this I appreciate it.
Steven: Great video again. I thought your explanation about crossing the lines was very helpful and right on point. It is often easy to overlook the power of imagination and the role it plays when we are trying to change something about ourselves or accomplish something. If we can really clear away all doubts and put that force to work, it is amazing what can be accomplished. Often easier said than done, but information like what you provided is very helpful and points us in the right direction.

Thanks Sibyl I appreciate your feedback on this. I think Einstein summed it up when he said ‘Imagination is more important than knowledge’
Hi Steve, I agree 100%. Our mind doesn’t know the difference between imagined realities and current reality. But as you pointed out, the emotional component of “what does it feel like” is vital for energizing a perceptual change that is significant enough to move us to act in harmony with our new concept of reality.

Hi Jonathan, I knew the emotion side would hook you
and you’re totally right about it being as important as the other three.
Steven, really nice video, thank you. It’s my first time to view you and I was especially delighted to hear your Scottish accent. In reply to my comment on your last post you asked what I was doing at the foot of Mount Fuji. Well, now you might want to ask what another Scot is doing at the foot of Mount Fuji! I’ll share my story in time. I agree with the four important changes you discuss in your video. When we want to cross the line yet don’t believe deep within ourselves it is truly possible, then no amount of positive thinking or affirmation or strategy can shift that basic perception. Instead we set ourselves up to ensure that our unbelief unfolds, because at the deepest level that’s what we expect. I would like to add my belief in the power of energy shifts – physical energy shifts – to transform perceptions as well as the actual flow within the body. Here in Asia knowledge of the body’s energy pathways have been accepted medical wisdom for some 5,000 years. From the Western viewpoint, it’s worth looking into, at the very least. Thanks for your insights. And from the foot of Mount Fuji again, warm greetings – Catrien Ross.

Nice post/video. Makes you think doesn’t it. If our mind can’t tell the difference, then what’s real – and why can’t something be real?
