Spiritual seeds
I have read many people complain that the problem with the law of attraction is that it simply doesn’t work. Disbelievers have tried it just to say they have tried it, sceptics have tried practicing the law of attraction only to give up after a few days or a few weeks, even believers have given up or become doubters because they have tried it and it doesn’t work for them.
Let me ask the disbelievers this: If you plant a tree how long do you wait before you say, that tree is not growing?
If you have a desire and you truly want it there is a process to manifesting that desire.
- You have to know what you want first.
- You then plant a seed in your imagination for your desire
- You nurture your desire, you think about it often, you imagine it every day.
- You take action toward your desire, even a little every day.
- After you have done all this let go of the outcome.
Take the analogy of planting a tree. You think about which type of tree you want, is it a perennial, is it deciduous, what height does it grow to etc. You then plant the tree. You feed it often, make sure it is growing straight, check on it every day. Once you have let go you no longer check on it, you expect the tree to grow, you don’t worry that it is not going to grow, you don’t worry that it is not growing quick enough, you just let it go and enjoy the tree for what it is.
This is the same with the law of attraction. You follow all the 5 steps above and then let go of the outcome. You don’t know how you’re going to get it you just trust that it will come as long as you have the passion and take a little action every day.
If you think ‘I want to earn 1 million dollars’, it’s never going to happen of you don’t have the passion and don’t take action toward it.
In our world of lightning fast delivery we get impatient when our desires are not manifested within a few weeks, we give up too quickly.
Let me ask you this: If I said to you ‘you will have (input your desire) this time next year, however you have to take fifteen minutes every day to imagine your desire and take a little action every single day’. Would you do it? I bet you would meditate for fifteen minutes every day and take small steps to your desires.
Small steps
When I talk about taking small steps I mean just that. When you are thinking of your desire every day it will be inevitable that ideas will come to you about how to attain your desire, that’s a natural part of problem solving: The more you think about something the better your chances of solving a problem. The same with your desires, the more you think about it the more you will come up with ideas on how to attain it.
Taking action could be as simple as getting a contact for a company you are thinking about working for, or gathering numbers of potential clients, or writing an ad for you local paper to advertise your services. There is a million little small steps you can take to reach your desire.
It might only take 100 small steps to attain your desire, it might take 10,000, the point being is that you take a step each day. Taking 1 step each day will mean in 1 week you are seven steps away from someone who took no steps.
Let the seed grow.
As long as you have the passion for your desire and you are taking action every day there is no need to constantly worry that it is not coming quick enough, there is no point in thinking it’s never going to happen, it’s useless it doesn’t work, just keep going and watch the results.
The problem with the law of attraction
The trouble with the law of attraction is that it sounds like a religion and it sounds like new age crap, I am the first to admit that. There are a thousand personal development speakers out there banging on about the same thing using the same language which smacks of a religion, it’s almost as if they are trying to brainwash us. However I don’t give a shit what it sounds like as long as it works, I have seen the results for myself, I know it works and I will try and help anyone who want to hear about it.
Give the seed time to grow and your desire will sprout eventually. This will lead you to plant other seeds and pretty soon you will own a farmyard full of desires.
Blockages
There will come a time when you will block the progress to your desire simply by being inactive, or not imagining it, or thinking negative thoughts about it.
This is a natural part of the process, but it is also a time when a lot of people give up and say ‘This is a lot of crap, it doesn’t work’.
Imagine giving up on your children just because they are going through a difficult stage in their lives. I wouldn’t say to my son, ‘listen, you’ve you’ve failed your exams I worked with you hard on this I am now giving up on you, goodbye.’. There is no way this would happen. This is true with your desires, never give up on them, always think they will happen eventually, take the small steps every day and your desire will come. There will be periods when nothing seems to happen but trust, have faith and keep taking action.

Love the 5 steps and glad I’ve been doing it! Adds to my feeling of knowing im moving in the right direction!
Very well put. I’ve been using the Law of Attraction thanks to Abraham for about a dozen years, and had a spiritual awakening with a rock band and their music about six years ago. Then, the synchronicities started and the law of attraction drew amazing experiences and insights to me. It was so incredible, I’ve written a book about it, and the Law of Attraction runs throughout my adventure…and the awakening occurred long before “The Secret,” so I know it’s valid.
Plant your intention, love it, and allow the outcome to be greater than you imagined. But, you are right. You’ve got to be patient and give your dream attention. Also, if the intention isn’t backed by love, then I’ve found that no matter how much action I take, things don’t go smoothly or as I envisioned.
You are right, ya gotta have faith. That just happens to be my last name, and at times, I’ve needed every molecule of faith in my body to believe my book and my experience will inspire and help others. The adversity we face for speaking about this is enormous. Thanks for letting me share my thoughts, and thanks for this great blog!
Hi Steven,
If the LOA does not work for others. Its totally not true as this will show that they have not applied it fully.
LOA is not a one-way good thing where we expect to get all the goodies out of it.
Its a postive process where the giving up part is the part that is overcomed and thus reaping the results of the LOA.All the best to all using the LOA!
Cheers!
Excellent point, Steven. It always amazes me when someone says I tried manifesting “such and such” last week, but it didn’t work.
Especially if you’re new to deliberate creation, one of the first things to remember is not to give up. Sometimes it takes a while for us to get in alignment with what we want – and guaranteed that’s what we’re waiting on. Not for Universe to deliver it; but for US to bridge the vibrational gap from where we are to where we want to be.
And sometimes that takes a little bit of time!
Nice reminder, Steven. Keep the good work coming!

I always find it amusing when people say Law of Attraction does not work!
It is working always! All Ways — LOA isn’t something you decide to do or not do. It is happening in our lives whether we want to acknowledge it or not!
Everything that is happening in our lives – we have attracted to us. Yes even the so-called yucky stuff!
Most of us go through life and never Deliberately Create our LIves instead we create by default.
Knowing about LOA – understanding how it works and how it doesn’t work – gives us the tools to utilize LOA to create our lifes.
It our choice – Create by Default or Create Deliberately!
Either choice — Law of Attraction is always, ( all ways ) working!

A Great Post there!
You have pointed out the critical element of ‘taking a small step each day’.
The keyword here is ACTION. Those who complain that ‘the law of attraction does not work’ just sit around and imagine that their desire will appear in front of them one day. They fail to understand that all worthwhile goals need consistent action to achieve them.
Law of Attraction is just a process that make it easier for us to achieve what we want and ensure that we enjoy the journey of our success.
It is obvious to me that LOA works in my life WHEN – and this is important – I do not have subconscious conflicting beliefs. I suggest that those who wonder if it works simply test it using something they would have never been taught is not possible.
For example, most people have huge negative beliefs about money so that is the most challenging for most. I heard about a conference in South Africa and I immediately thought, “wow, I would LOVE to speak at that conference”.
Going to South Africa, speaking at a conference – nothing about that would have ever come up in my family or schooling. It was totally outside any ideas anyone I knew would have expressed.
Even though I had no resources to get there, had never spoken at a conference of that size, and they already had all their speakers lined up two weeks later I was invited to speak – all expenses paid.
That is only one example (and for skeptics yes I can verify those facts. See http://racingpartnerships.com/SaFConference.htm ) for photos, links to a magazine article about it, and videotapes that were made of the conference).
It does work; however, I recommend using eft – I prefer the site at emofree and there are quite a few excellent videos up at youtube as well – to remove negative beliefs that are blocking your progress.
Hey Steven,
Great Analogy here. Indeed it takes time to “tune” in and allow ourselves to adapt Law of Attraction into our life. I say adapt because it is already there whether we believe it or not.
So we don’t need to learn about it but be aware of it and integrate it into our life to make it useful to us!
And taking small step is a much ignored but important action!
Cheers
James

Hey,
Really like the way you ‘broke things down’on the law of attraction. You have really renewed my hope. I will plant my seed and TRUST that it will grow !!!!! Thanks a lot.
It has worked in my life, with really specific requests. What I find really works is to write what I want down on paper. I can now go back to journal entries and say, my god, that specific request was answered within months. Ask, and you shall receive. But I beleive you have to want it from the dephs of your heart, and you have to know it is the truth.
very nice
wery nice
This sort of advice is excellent and applied to any part of your life can bring positive results.
Thanks for outlining the methods and giving this powerful advice to everyone.

I can start to create my works now.
