Help me become a professional blogger
Okay, here’s the deal. I love blogging, I love
blogs and I love personal development. Only trouble is I can only do
it part time at the moment as I have to work to pay the bills and the mortgage. I
had a conversation with my wife and we have agreed that if I can pay off the
mortgage I can give up work and become a professional blogger.
How to go about this? Keep on blogging part time, and do what I am
doing and hope to make it by giving courses on blogging, yep that could work,
but again as I am only part time it is a full time job doing all this.
So I have looked at what I have got to offer readers. I
have an eBook of the blog, the adverts for which you can see at the top and
right hand side of this blog. The eBook is £4.99 and I therefore
need to sell 20,000 to realise my goal, this takes into account affiliate fees
at 30%. I
will also be saving money from the money from my full time job, money I get
from managing www.rodthomasblog.com ,
money from Google AdSense and my wife will be helping a lot toward this goal
as she is also working. I am also looking for more blog consultancy work
at www.blogconsultant.co.uk
However the main push is to sell the eBook and try and sell 20,000 of them. You
can help by buying one of the eBooks, reviewing the book on your blog and spreading
the word about what I am doing.
You can also become an affiliate and get 30% of the book sale, so everyone’s
a winner.
I will post a weekly update. The figures to date are:
|
Original Target
|
£75,000 ($142,000) |
|
Savings from work |
£4000 |
|
Savings from Blog Consultancy |

[...] The one ad I am running which looks like will be making the profits, once all orders have been dispatched, I have spent £16.51 and made £15.84 and will make another £15.84 when the orders have been dispatched. so that is 100% profit on 1 ad. If that ad performed the same every day I could make £7.50 per day which is a clear profit of £232.50 every month. Now all we need is 20 of these good ads a month and I can realize my dream of becoming a professional blogger which I wrote about here this could be done in under 2 years. Now to find those good ads and products. [...]
