Any chance of an update on how you feel? Have you and your girlfriend decided on what to do, keep the baby or have an abortion? My instinct is that you want to keep the baby. From my own experience I have discovered that instinct can serve you well. Saying that, you have to acknowledge what that instinct is rooted in, i.e. is it fundamentally a 'good' instinct. Good luck. My parents split up when I was very young but constantly saw my Dad every other weekend. Im sure I would have turned out a different person if I didn't get this time with him. Bonding trips like going fishing and playing football is important for Dads who no longer live with their kids. But this is a whole different matter. Nice article.
